Yin Yoga

I like to think of Yin Yoga as "ego free" yoga. It is a gentle, more meditative practice than Yang Yoga (e.g. Vinyasa or power yoga). In a Yin Yoga class, you are not using muscles, rather, you are targeting the deepest tissues of the body (ligaments, joints, bones, and deep fascia). This delicious release in the deepest tissues, calms and balances the mind and body, as well as brings balance to the organs through meridian stimulation. Get ready to float off your mat at the end of this class.
